I don't know, it just sort of died on me. At first, when turning the camera on, it 
would slowly (auto) focus once, but then pointing it to a second focus point, it 
simply would not autofocus. Nothing happened pressing the shutter halfways. Nada.
Around the same time there were a few other strange things happening. I remember when 
Stan visited in September it suddenly rewound a film after only a handful of frames.
I seem to recall thinking that it may have appeared after both shooting in the rain, 
as well as after doing a few sessions on the beach, where I noticed some grains of 
sand on the lenses and inside the camera body.
If any of this was the actual cause I don't know. It works manually though, and 
everything else seems to work.
A bit annoying though as manual focussing in some situations is slow and difficult 
where AF has allowed me to quickly capture some shots that now escape me.
