For anyone who shoots a lot in bright conditions, this is a fatal design
flaw. It is the primary reason I did not buy a 5n. The problem is common
to the P/Z and Z/X series cameras, but other models put the exposure
information on the external lcd. Pentax switched off their collective
brains on this aspect of the 5n.
OTOH, this flaw steered me to the PZ-1p, with which I am quite pleased.
You can overcome this problem, as another poster suggested.
It's going to be interesting to see if the viewfinder in the MZ-S can be
read in bright daylight.
