I haven't used that particular combination of camera and lens but the built-in flash on all the Pentax cameras I have used (SFXn, MZ10, Z1, *istD) causes vignetting with certain zoom lenses at the wide end. The vignetting is always worse with a lens hood so that I always take off the lens hood when using the built-in flash. Also I try only to use the flash only with longer focal lengths that I know won't vignette. It's a pain, and at one point I bought a second-hand F35-70 f3.5-4.5 lens just for snapshots that might have required use of the flash on my Z1.
