I own two LX's one that was CLA'd by a 3rd party which is the one currently
needing repair. (Which reminds me I should send it off to Pentax USA, "real soon
now"). I would almost take the camera as is and send it to Pentax for a CLA.

I have an opportunity to add an LX outfit to my camera collection. It is in the shop at the moment due to a little stickiness in the mirror - it does not stick up but rather falls most of the way and then, after a short lag, seems to fall too far, causing focusing issues with my f1.4 lenses. Assuming the shop can repair the problem I will be able to purchase it with the FA-1 finder, FC-1 finder (with base), two focusing screens, and the Winder LX for $400. The body (other than mentioned above) has paint rubbed off near the strap lugs and a little on the shutter lock switch, but very nice in other respects, and very little wear in the film path. The finders and the winder seem near mint and one of the screens looks unused with box and tool. This seems like a great deal to me. Any reason I should think twice about this?
