Well the FA 70-210 feels much better than it looks on any camera. (It makes very nice
photographs as well).

Even the FA limited lenses are sort of odd that way--if you are willing to pay premium prices for good optics and good build quality and retro styling, are you gonna see the ZX-M (cheap, fragile) or MZ-S (blobby collection of newfangled controls) as the ideal camera? They've both
got merits as cameras, I'm sure, but neither is the ideal partner for
an FA limited lens from a philosophical standpoint.
Most of the FA* glass I have seen has been stuck on the front of a PZ-1p.
I don't know about the limiteds - they seem to go well with MZ-3s, but
only if you can get the black version of the lens (and there's another
ridiculous piece of Pentax marketing).

My (black) Limiteds look quite nice on both the MZ-S and the *ist-D, thank you very much. Also on the LXen before those were sold. The FA* lenses (80-200 and 300) actually look alright as well even though they are of course nothing at all like the Limiteds. But then I think that my PK-55/1.8 looks good on either of these cameras. The only (relatively) ugly lenses Pentax has made AFAIAC are the F and FA greyish plastic blobs. Then you touch them and find they feel worse than they look...
