I have found that my quite solid Monfrotto 028 won't keep a Super Program steady witha 400mm lens mounted. Metal tripods are like that. They ring. Try a wood tripod sometime, preferably a heavy one like the Zone VI. Wood tripods dampen vibration better than metal ones. William Robb
