[And just before anyone comes up with the knee-jerk
put-down of an automatic, bear in mind that my wife
has just had knee-replacement surgery for arthritis,
will need the other knee replaced soon, and commutes
to work along San Francisco Bay area highways. Stick
shift is not a viable option for her daily driver]
We're thinking about getting a Cooper S (with the
John Cooper Works package) to go with it when the
new, more powerful models come along in 2006
