I find that wall hangers are easier on the eyes if they do NOT scream "Vivid Disney Velvia". Especially after a long time hanging. And yet, vivid does grab the eye _initially_. Actually the brightness range is there with some patches of snow at or near paper white and parts of the tree trunk black, although most of the image is in the mid ranges and is not screamingly vibrant colors. I printed this as a 12x18, rezed up with Genuine fractals, and it held together very well, especially from a 3.3 MP camera. Unfortunately I shot it using cloudy white balance and printed it using the Ilford gallerie profile (which like the Epson profiles I find just a hair red for my taste. I'm trying to decide if I like it enough to print again using the (for me) more accurate Pictorico profile. Maybe it is Frank's bleakness and despair that I see and find it compelling.
