Had a similar experience recently with my LX mirror. Try new batteries. Cleared up the problem immediately. BTW, try the larger Lithium battery, CR 1/3N. They last a l-o-n-g time. Been changing over all my cameras to those as needed.
It's worth pointing out that lithium batteries handle cold temperatures much better than alkalines, too...
