" Hi Tanya, Can't help with any of the istD questions (I don't have one) but
thought write and congratulate you on the photos.
You could have been using anything from a Zenit to a 10mp top-of-the wozza
camera, that's just craft - the art of the photos is wonderful.
Congratulations!
Cheers,
Simon

When I saw

I thought of the caption "Can I have another Marlboro dad, pleeeeese...""

Omigosh, thankyou SO much for such encouraging comments Simon. I can't
believe that you must've went through all 169 images to get to that very
last one! You must've been incredibly bored by the end! lol.

I actually intended to post the link to the entire gallery in a separate
thread as my PAW submission, but then forgot about it! No-one was supposed
to pick that one out - that is my PUG submission for March! LOL, so now I
have been found out!

That shot and a number of others like it are the ones that I am referring to
with the noise in the sky. Bill Robb has suggested to me that it may be the
underexposure causing it, but I thought it was a necessary way to tackle the
shot due to the sky continually burning out with every other attempt. It
was a shocker sunset with very little colour and a massive cloud covering
where the red sun should have been (that is the big blue area to the left),
so I had to angle to the right and underexpose enough to get some colour. I
am quite proud of the sharpness and detail of the buffle grass etc as it was
handheld at I think around 1/8th (you can tell this from the movement of the
horses tail)!

Also, I am also proud to boast that my client has chosen that particular
image as her "signature" image or "logo". It will be appearing on her
company's stationery, television advertising, website and magazine adverts.
I'll have to scan some and show them to you when it is all available. If
any of you Aussies read "Country Style" (magazine) or the "QLD Country Life"
(newspaper), keep your eye out for them!

I will be sure to post the link to her website when it is completed, which
hopefully will be within a week or so. ALL of the photography for the
entire website is mine, so I just can't wait to see it!

It was very challenging to work with so many kids in such a short space of
time and try to inject any amount of creativity into those shots. This one
I call the "Brad Pitt" shot - remember him in Thelma and Louise? I just
think that this little girl looks to have just the same attitude/stance
etc... So cute (but not a Marlboro in site! lol)!

I have a few more galleries to post from my *istD shoots over the past week,
if I ever get a reprieve from client orders! I have just uploaded over 600
(yes, and I did all the editing on them myself!! aaaargh!) files to my lab
for printing, and bloody hell, do I need some sleep. I have been working
solid for the past 3 days - only had 3 hours sleep last night - but I can
see light at the end of the tunnel... Oh, wait, maybe not, cause I am off
to Brisbane for another wedding this weekend! lol...

So, I AM loving the *istD, but it is definitely producing alot more hours in
front of the 'puter for me. Although, I estimate that just from the work
that it has generated this week alone, it has already paid for itself (and I
have only had it for 11 days!), now lets just hope it KEEPS generating work
so that I can afford to come to GFM...

The Rodeo Circuit begins soon, so I'll be giving the Starkist a workout when
that kicks in - many cowboys, with much mullar, and who just cannot refuse a
girl with a big camera wearing tight jeans... *winks*... If I play my cards
right, I may end up being able to go to GFM Business Class! lol (just
kidding, I'll be lucky to even get there economy class!).

Oh, and in regards to GFM - tv, Bill, et al - any ideas how much dosh I
should bring to get me buy for food, gas money for the drive to GFM etc for
the 10 days that I hope to be in the country? I will be on a major
shoestring, if I do make it, so I really need to start working that out
asap. Also, it doesn't look like I'll be able to get a flight direct to
Dulles now, so I will have to fly into LA and then do another looooooooong
flight across to Washington... What is it like to fly domestically within
the US? I am imagining VERY cramped aeroplanes, yuck...!

Ok, still got more files to upload, and a couple of Bridezilla's biting at
the bit waiting for their prints to arrive...

tan.
