Thanks :-) You're right about the lack of sharpness - I have a horrible feeling that the photo was taken with a Chinon 28-50 zoom that I valued greatly for its lack of size at the time, but later realised was more than a little lacking in the sharpness department too... I'm tempted to rescan the negative at higher resolution and see how much I can get out of it by careful photoshopping.
