Just an interesting aside, a "filler", on Kiron lenses:

With the purchase of one of my M42 bodies and a couple of other
lens/body items a little while ago, the seller just "threw-in" a Vivitar
85-205mm f/3.8 Tele-Zoom Auto. . . It must be brand new - it looks like
it's never been used!
A little research reveals it was made by Kiron back in 1970. Cost US$200
back then.
This is back when the SMC Takumar (or Pentax) 85-210 mm f/4.5 zoom was
sellling for US$550.
It's very well built, if moving all the controls is any indication.
One of these days soon I'm taking that lens out with my Spotty F and see
how they both perform together!
We might all be surprised!
