Hi Leon.
Ahhh dust on the CCD.<g>Mine was so bad i took it to Nikon here in Toronto over 
Christmas
for them to 
clean.Did a good job to.
The swabs and solution is only endorsed by Kodak and Fuji.Nikon does not recommend 
home 
cleaning,but to send to them,at$100.00 Canadian a pop.LOL
Many of the people of the Nikon D1 BB clean there own,but i'm to chicken to try. They 
seem
to say its a 
simple enough proccess and some have info on websites.
I'll see if i can locate in my book marks for you
Use a hand blower,not by mouth,cause if you get any spital on it thats bad. I think 
that
was my problem.

Apparently fixing a scratched ccd filter is expensive.
