Yes, K2 had a number of quite original patterns, especially in the
electronics. It was a very advanced camera for the time, the meter was
very sensitive and responsible, while drawing almost none current. The
insides of the camera were modularised (electronics) quite a bit for
its times if I remember well. However, its mirror lock-up was a
nonsense because the springloaded mechanism wasn't disengaged (sic!)
so it made almost exactly same vibrations as without MLU, not
mentioning that the aperture wasn't stopped down even with MLU (unlike
in KX and LX). Therefore, the only bodies with usable MLU are KX+LX,
plus MX and Spotmatics which have the MLU trick (which really works).
Unfortunately, although I liked the K2DMD very much, it had a very
vibrating electronic shutter, making it hard to handhold longer
times.
