Pentax K and M lens have no exposure information electronics built in. I don't think any camera could be more compatible with them than is the *ist-D. I now do almost all my work and personal shooting with the *ist-D and use K lenses 90& of the time. I see no reason why Cosina would build a Pentax mount camera. And if they did, it would probably function in much the same way as our *ist-D.

As an owner of a Leica M4, I am sort of glad that I didn't spend my hard
earn dough on the *ist D. I really like rangefinder shooting.
