They are probably trying to send it via UPS rather than the US Postal
Service in the incorrect belief that it is cheaper - it would be if you
were in the US but outside the US it is VASTLY more expensive. Ask
them to get a quote from the postal service instead of UPS and things
should then be ok. If for some reason they say they can't send it that
way then search for a nice list member to receive and pass on the
package.
