And the fault lies NOT with "most people" but with the
engineers and the technical writers.. Far too much of
our consumer electronics industry is driven by "geeks"
who apparently never meet (and were not nurtured by)
the archetypal "button shy over 50".. There is no
reason why these things cannot all be made more
intuitive, (why Tv not SHv?) perhaps a good example is
the MZ5/3 where the old interface has been largely
retained. Some of the worst examples are in mobile
phones where cramming features into an ever smaller
package has created a product ONLY for the young and
nimble fingered full of "Kickshaws and toys", and all
most of us want is a "phone to go" ...
