I'd say that of all the Japanese fixed lens RF's out there, the GIII 1.7 the priciest one. It's supposed to be a great lens; sharp and fast. I've read several places that there are some heretics that say it's better than the Leica CL/Summicron C 40mm combo (which is obviously not true, since I have it <g>), and better than the Rollei 35 combo. Whether true or not, I think it at least says it's a pretty decent cam.
Plus, I love how compact they are. I've never seen one in black, which I'd think makes it even more worth your while.
Please buy it.
