Just downloaded and started playing with the remote assistant with the *ist D and my laptop. It's going to be fun, and often times useful. Although the USB cable that came with the D is somewhat short, I've extended it with another cable with no problems. It is slow in tif and raw due to the camera only having USB 1.1
