Don, I considered using copy & reverse for the eye too, but I decided the light/shade difference between them was too much to look natural. Her eyebrows are also asymmetrical, and that would be difficult to reconstruct afterwards.
Some thoughts that occur to me now are that the eye looks larger in the original simply because the photo has stretched with the folding, and that her left eye probably should look slightly smaller than the right eye because of the lowered eyebrow. If I have time tonight, I'll give the eye another try. There is also some detail on the girl's upper lip and the father's nose that I didn't notice last night.
