the more free space on a drive, the less likely a drive will have file fragmentation. with NTFS, the cluster size stays at 4K all the way out past 200GB. if Tanya continues to shoot RAW at the rate that she describes, she will shoot about 4-6 GB of images each shoot.
I don't argue with that. Not at all!
BUT why would you want to have sooooooooo much space on your C. Have 10-20Gb on C and rest on D. And keep your gunk there. That's what I do. OS is one thing and storage is another. I do not see much point in creating so much "free space" for C which soon becomes space used and taken by storage items.
