As you already know it's a Power Cord A.  I would've chimed in earlier but
couldn't view the URL as it first appeared, so wasn't sure which cord was
being queried.

The beauty of this cord is that the Super A (Super Program) can be mounted
to a tripod at the base of the Motor Drive A, which is quite strong, instead
of the bottom of the Battery Pack A which is structurally no more than a
shell around the batteries and rather shaky carrying a driven Super A and
any moderately weighty lens.  It also permits the vertical release on the
battery pack to function as a remote release.
