Now that the CD burner is working properly in the Photoshop
computer, it's time to start archiving some files. With
all the talk about the short lives of CD's, some questions
come to mind.

Are there any brands that have been recognized as poor
quality? Do the "professional" types, with all sorts of
fancy features like gold plating and multi-layer
construction, and whatever else the manufacturer touts, last
longer and have fewer problems being recorded compared to
the standard disks? Are DVD's better in such regard?

It has been suggested that burning CD's at slower speeds
gives better results, although specifics were not provided.
Is there anything to this generalized comment?

Thanks,

shel
