The two brands of CD-R that come up most often when talking about durability, longevity, and freedom from errors are Mitsui and Taiyo Yuden. They are generally only available by mail order.
Fuji CDs in slim "jewel" cases available in Canada are (still) made by TY, but not the ones sold in towers.
