It doesn't have anything to do with TTL flash or not -- the ME Super, I
think, was the first Pentax to automatically go to the synch speed when
a dedicated Pentax flash charged up. Unless the Vivitar is a model that
is dedicated for the Pentax, I think any Pentax camera using it would
have to be set to the synch speed manually. The ME, however, won't do
it automatically even with a dedicated flash.

I have the Vivitar 285 flash -
THe ME has a hot shoe and a side thingy --
IF I use the 285 with it, can I use the auto
setting
on the ME? Or do I use the 100x setting ?
Will it TTL with the 285?
The ME does not have TTL flash. So you're gonna havta put it to the
100x
setting.
