Use the 100x setting. The sensor is in the prism and will be blocked by the mirror during exposure.

I have the Vivitar 285 flash - THe ME has a hot shoe and a side thingy -- IF I use the 285 with it, can I use the auto setting on the ME? Or do I use the 100x setting ?
Will it TTL with the 285?
I'm trying to be economical and not try to guess too much :)
Thanks Guys, ann
