Yep those $5.00 frame and matt sets are nowhere as good the $100.00 ones you get from the frame shop. Now, if I can just figure out why someone who tells me my prints are not worth $20 are willing to pay $100 to have that cheap print framed. Not likely I will though, if I have not yet done so over the past 50 years.

As to what the thread is about? That is easy, read the subject line. That way you know what it is "not" about after the third post. GRIN.

By the way, concerning those mats and frames that you buy at the photo store, Wal-Mart, etc, yeah, your pictures are going to fall apart or stick to the glass. If you want something to last, you need space between photo, art, whatever and the glass and you need acid free materials. So, if it's a gift for Great Aunt Edna who is 93, you're probably OK, but if you're selling a print, do it right or at least let the customer know. OK, I'm officially a framing nerd.

Secondly, is there some secret code as to how to figure out what the real message is to a heading? This topic is now about vegemite sandwiches. I suppose 100mm Macro = bird's nest soup? Spotmatic = rainforest destruction? Oh, now I've done it and there's no telling where this thread will go.
