Well, since google is free and 90% of the folks who are likely to look for services like yours are going to be using google. Why would you want to pay someone to refer to your site, that is what it is about. Now the area wedding/portrait/commercial Association site referal is worth while, but they usually include that in your dues.

Yes, it seems a lot of money, for very little return.
