Just so the rest of you know, Poutine is actually not so gross. Now that I've poked around this thread a bit, and hear talk of humans eating all manner of gross parts of animals - I mean, who would have been the first to have thought "mmmm, let's try eating the stomach lining of that sheep!" or, "wow, calves' brains; why didn't we think of eating them before?" - well, Poutine is pretty damned tame!
French fries (they gotta be fresh, none of this frozen stuff), topped with copious amounts of cheese curds, smothered in hot gravy (so the curds melt). Ooooooooo.

I've had poutine, Frank. It reminds of the humongous TV dinners that one sees in the frozen food section of the supermarket, especially those 1 1/2 pound Hungry Man disgusto-meals.
