I find I haven't eaten dinner at any of the restaurants listed, although I did have high tea at the Peninsula in Hong Kong a couple of weeks ago. I did once look at the menu at Le Tour d'Argent in Paris, but I would have needed a second mortgage to eat there! I can recommend Just St. James, in St. James St. London, if it's still there, of course. Very nice ambience, excellent service and delicious food and wines.
Just have to say that, nowadays, it's possible to eat very well indeed here in Oz, even in Brisbane! We do have much more than Vegemite, pie and peas, etc. Even had a great steak (rib fillet) the other day for A$6.95, with all the vegies and chips you could eat, at a Leagues club!
