Hey all, Thanks for so many contributions to the Street Photo Survey. If there are any other thoughts, please contribute. I am pleased to learn that many of the list members are serious street shooters even if they stray from using Pentax at times. I am guilty of using a Minox GT-E. Sorry! I've looked at several of the list members sites that were recommended, such as Frank's and Paul's, but haven't found any for Shel (other than one or two shots here and there), Gianfranco or Albano. Found a nice looking site for Juan Buhler, but haven't had time to really look at it. Anyway, if any of you guys want to send me a site address off the pdml (or here too in case you want to share or show off), then please do so. If I left off anyone that has a good body of "S-P" photos, let me know.
I was also hoping to see if anyone knew of some more overlooked photographers for the survey. HCB, Winogrand, Frank are some of the obvious choices of course and deservedly so. I've recently been reading about the Photo League, Dan Weiner, David Bradford who did "Drive By Shootings" and a Magnum photograher by the name of Sergio Larrain from South America. Oh my God, his photos are amazing. He has a self titled book that was published in 1999 in Spanish and English that is worth a look. Speaking of books, has anyone seen the books Kent Reno or David (?) Schapiro? Can you recommend them? Anyway, carry on, thanks for the replies and please refrain from talking about Vegemite (or Marmite) on this thread. Jim
