Hi Alex,

I've done the pro CD maintenance courses at Sony, I have a excerpt from the red 
book, so I do have un understanding of the error correction mechanisms 
underlying CD red book standard. If you are really interested C1 errors can be 
read write quite easily using EAC or other packages that support secure mode 
extraction and C2 error detection, all my drives do. I've been doing this a 
while (in personal and professional capacities) and I've never experienced 
problems.
