This is the key point. Since Pentax doesn't make chips, they will sell what's available. They'll have a 10 MP FF snesor when everyone else does. If you want chip innovaiton, you'll have to switch to Canon. Even if Nikon does start to make their own sensors (there is a rumor about this), they'll never match Canon's R&D budget. Of course, Sony is bigger than all of them . . .
