I dumped this approach many years ago, I now have a series of hard/shoulder/back-pack bags and I simply assemble a kit of likely useful lenses in the appropriate bag depending upon my intended subject/location. I always have standard combinations in my mind and I just add a long/shot or specialty lens, of course throwing a *ist D into the equation further complicated lens selections hence I've pretty much given up shooting film with my Pentax 35mm kit.
