Tan, to clarify, in re the Tokina I meant the older (but still in production) 28-80 f2.8, not the newer and less expensive 28-70 f2.8. The latter is okay, but tests as less sharp than the 28-80. It is also of the extending barrel design, which I guess is a design that cuts costs and lets manufacturers crow about how short their lenses are.
