Shawn,

I think this is a wonderful photo!!

I really like the way the branches frame the squirrel, the nice mix of light and dark in the background, that nice bokeh, the way the squirrel actually looks kinda cute.

I also like the way the little fellow is off to the left of centre - nice touch.

I hate to bring up that duck pic, but it's hard not to compare; this one is simple many orders better, on pretty much every level.

Dragging up a joke started by Cotty a couple of months ago, if Squirrels had magazines, this would be a cover shot!!

Good work,
frank

Ok, maybe "exciting" is the wrong word... You should have heard him chatter
though!! Man it was just one step down from an Eagles scream! Those
squirrels are magnificent animals!! Alright, fine, that last part is going
a bit far... Anyhow I took this photo with a Super-Multi-Coated Takumar,
200/4 wide open to facilitate my hand holding the lens. I adjusted the
brightness/contrast, and I used a little bit of unsharpen mask in Photoshop.
I'm satisfied with the shot.

Also, there's this shot I took with the SMC-M 50/1.7 lens. I took it whilst
driving down a farm road at 55 MPH so if the quality is off, well, that's
why, I have some others, I was going to post them but I figured. Why waste
you peoples time???
