HI all,
Well, my LX has been my go-to camera the past year or so, even surplanting the PZ1 for money shots. I brought it with me to a convention where I needed pics for publication, and I did bring a back up, but it was a Spotmatic F with a IR filter installed behind the shutter curtain. Obviously I wasn't planning on taking people pictures with it.

Well, the LX went down in flames, so to speak.. The meter showed a correct exposure, but wouldn't actually fire at the correct exposure; I started getting lots of 3 to 7 second exposures in sunlight with 400 ISO film installed....
I switched to manual speeds and started guessing and estimating, just in case the meter was off in what it was showing in the viewfinder too. And it seemed to be working at flash sync speed too... so, I thought I was still alright.

Until I noticed it wouldn't focus at infinity-- on any lense!! Now I seem to recall this is a known issue, the infinity focus thing-- with LXen. Can anyone confirm this?

Well, the end of the tale is this: There may be some unique "record" shots of people at the convention--- done in infrared with flash!

But I am worried about my LX; any idea if this is a major repair job? (as in, more than $200 bucks) That would be a concern, since I've just sent my check off to brother Stan H for his MZ S he is selling. And, since I've sold off my K2DMDs and a few others to finance my upcoming istD purchase...
