My 31mm was my defacto standard lens on my 35mm film bodies, I really like the AOV as it lends its self to a lot of the type of shooting I do. So I had high expectations for the FA*24/2 on my new *ist D, unfortunately my hopes were dashed. I've ended up back with the 31LTD on the *ist D which whilst not a bad thing isn't where I'm really comfortable. Since I sold my A24/2.8 I tend to just straight from the 31mm to the 20mm which is quite a leap in AOV.
