I found B & W to be very frustrating in college too, as I too am very color oriented. But towards the end of the course it started to rub off on me or something, because I started looking at images differently, even choosing B & W as the preferred medium for some images. You have got to admit the lack of worries in ambient lighting for color temp is great though!
Dave ------------------ Marnie aka Doe I did a semester of darkroom in college and didn't enjoy it that much. OTOH, I also shot in B&W for that class too and didn't like that much either (being very color oriented). So it's not a love affair for everyone. ;-)
