IMO, Pentax has missed the boat too many times to be taken seriously (at least in the USA).
IMO, Pentax has focused too much on the P&S market. I don't know how many different models they've had out at one time. Far to many, for someone who isn't interested in purchasing one.
IMO, Pentax has had too many entry level SLR's most of them virtually indistinguishable from the others.
IMO, Pentax has far too many P&S digitals as well, none of which has received stellar reviews compared to the offerings of Canon.
I'm interested in a 67II and if they come out with a high-end full-frame DLSR over and above the *istD I'd be interested...
If a camera maker has only 3 or 4 products in the SLR category, several entry level SLR's and and a DLSR that doesn't have ISO 50 or 100 settings... do they deserve to be taken seriously (MF aside)?
How long are they going to be in the camera market at all?

How about a few nice, fast primes that are appropriately sized for the camera. These cheap, slow zooms do neither the camera nor the medium justice. Crap in, crap out ... crummy DOF, distortion galore ... what has photography come to when mediocre is something to which one can aspire and excellence is becoming but a photographic footnote?
