The A50/1.2 is a very good lens, once stopped down a wee bit, as your test shows. Wide open, it is better than the Nikkor 50mm f/1.2. I find it a wonderful lens on the istD as well, although I did buy an FA50mm f/1.4 so as to be able to take advantage of some of the istD features that the A series can't access. William Robb
