Well, not to me. It's like trying to compare two audio amplifiers, each with a different set of speakers. Since, IMO, all other things equal, image 'quality' is largely a factor of the lens, using different lenses only says something about the lens or the lens/camera system, not the camera.

I understand your point, it's just that we're talking about minisucle details and about something that is largely subjective to begin with.

You'd need to compare the exact same scene, same time, same everything including lens, which is impossible...

Isn't it quite possible if you you compare raw data from the cameras at test, previously fit with (almost identical) medium speed normal lenses?
