Hi Pentax Clover,

Whilst I appreciate your perspective I would argue that there is no design 
that will satisfy everybody and that the compromises in this case are 
acceptable to many potential buyers. I suspect that there would be 
comparable (if not higher) demand from existing Pentax SLR users that from 
potential new film SLR buyers (on the decline rapidly).

Secondly I hardly think that the Pentax SLR line is keeping Pentax afloat or 
has been for some time, none of the P&S that are however are F100 killers 
but most sell well :-)

Many new customers these days are not looking at film cameras full stop, 
Pentax should be more concerned at getting the 6M pixel digital body on the 
market as soon as possible and at a competitive price.
