Hi, there!
Yup, I'm back in Dublin - I'll be here for 12 days.
The first time I was very busy, so now I'll try to
see&shoot more (I'd like to thank Gianfranco, Lasse
and Rob for their advices!).
Nice town, nice people - however, I hate their food.
Too sweet, too much mayonnaise... I've also tried
Guinness - yup, I didn't liked it (now I know that
will start a flame!); I drink instead Bulmers (which
is, in fact, cider).
It seems a good area for birding - at least, it's
better than Bucharest (you can found only sparrows and
pigeons there!).That's because - I think - you can
get good results with a shorter than usual tele (as
the birds will let you get quite close). Hmmm... now,
I know what I want to buy... but I don't think I'll
find it here :(
Now, about the 'film vs. digital' part... don't worry,
I won't start a flame war. I was in a plane, hanging
in the air (they call it 'travel'), when I noticed
that a hostess said to someone "I'm sorry, sir - but
you can't use a digital camera". I'm not sure I can
use my MZ6, but an old mechanical one should be OK.
I'd really want to take some clouds snaps...
Btw, my trip was fine until I arrived in Dublin - when
I noticed someone searched my luggage and served
itself with some cigarres :( I don't know where it
happened (in Romania, Milan or Dublin)... And of
course my (quite low-end) trolley isbadly damaged,
after several standard loading/unloading procedures
(they drop your luggage from at least 1 m, as I saw
from the window of the plane).
