I've also included a small document that provides some suggestions for
converting color images to B&W.  Maybe you'll find it useful, if not now,
perhaps some day.

My apologies for the image quality.  Viewing them in the browser and a
couple of other image viewing programs seems to strip out some color and
tonality when compared to viewing them in Photoshop, where your original
was adjusted.  Still, you can probably get the idea of what my thought
process was and a good idea of the comparative results along the way.

Hope this gets you to thinking more about composition, the use of color,
and so on.  You're heading in the right direction, imo.
