I've decided to keep my Sigma 70-210 UCII 4/5.6. It flares like anything. Soft wide open, not great stopped down.
But... good enough for 5x7 prints, small, decent build for cheapos these days (mine is the manual focus - this might contribute), and close focus is a tad better than my equivalent primes (100, 135, 200).
I'm no longer searching for an A 70-210 f4. Too big.
Anyone else got a favorite bow-wow?
