My Sears 70-300mm is a pretty decent 1-touch zoom. I took some fun shots with it last summer. Probably the best $40 I ever spent. On the other hand, my Sigma mirrored 400mm has turned out to be a disappointment since I got the istD, between the donuts and the slow speed, but I'm keeping it for now.
