I think it's great being able to zoom in when an image has detail that would 
otherwise be lost in a size reduction. If you wish to move to lowest common 
denominator then images should probably only be published at 600 pixel max 
length regardless of the fact that some of us may have desk-tops of 2048x1536 
or bigger.
