Exact, the prototype (Spot-Matic) had a spot meter, but the production model (Spotmatic) took again the name and given up spot meter.Merci Michel. Intersting to see a photograph of this ancient one!
Perhaps I have got it all wrong?
I was refering to the camrea - Pentax Spotmatic, which I believe was
announced to have an on-board spot meterering facility - like most modern
SLRs. I believe the prototype Spotmatic at Photokina (or wherever) had it,
but it was never implemented in the mass produced camera. Correct me if I'm
wrong.
I found very few information on my Spotmeter. It uses two battery difficult to find.
I tested it with an external food and I tried to raise the diagram.
It seems that each battery feeds one of two ranges of measurement, only the most significant range thus functions (the cell and the galvanometer is correct), but I do not find a electric defect .
