Consider the extensive and unknown problem of the camera, perhaps it would be easier to buy an used Z-1p which costs at most C$400/US$300 now in mint condition.

 Yeah it seems so and it makes sense but I can't say
its not annoying, there is no visible damage to the
rest of the boards, you would think they could test
those boards and if they were good, change the one
board thats all corroded.

 Ah well,  it still works, I just need to make a
battery pack so I don't have to buy the expensive
batteries for it anymore, and I just don't have the
onboard flash.
